My craft work over the past year has allowed me to experiment with a variety of materials. My most recent contract required me to build head pieces with an artist canvas base which were strengthened by wire stitched around their perimeter. Batting was then used to cover the shape and then a fabric cover was built to encase it. I was also required to construct masks that were required to be light enough to head mount or attached to the back of a pre-wrapped turban. To accomplish this I cast the masks out of liquid latex and then painted and sealed them individually.
